This privacy policy explains how Blue Acorn Marketing, LLC d/b/a StartVirtual (“StartVirtual,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information of individuals who visit our site or opt in to SMS.

Collection of personal data

You can navigate our site without providing personal information unless you wish to contact us or opt in to messages. When you contact us through live chat, a contact form, or our SMS opt-in form, we will ask for personal information such as your name, company name, phone number, email address, and location.

The collection of your personal information is part of our normal business operations and enables us to address your concerns, place virtual assistants or bookkeepers, and send the communications you requested. We may also use information you voluntarily provide to send important announcements, promotional offers, surveys, and other activities about our company that you might be interested in.

If you prefer not to receive email announcements, send us a note at info@startvirtual.com so we can remove your name and contact details from that list.

SMS / text messaging

The only way to opt in is on our public website form at the StartVirtual homepage. You enter your mobile number and check an unchecked consent box. We do not collect SMS consent by keyword, paper form, verbal script, or a page behind a login.

We collect your mobile phone number only when you provide it on that form. We may also collect your name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide.

When you consent, BLUE ACORN MARKETING, LLC DBA StartVirtual may text you. Marketing messages, if you check that box, may include special offers, discounts, and service updates about virtual assistant and bookkeeping plans. Non-marketing messages, if you check that box, may include inquiry follow-up, appointment reminders, placement updates, and service support. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance. Reply STOP to opt out.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your mobile number or SMS consent. Service providers who send messages on our behalf may process that data only to operate this program for StartVirtual, not for their own marketing.

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After you opt out you will receive a final confirmation text. Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

How we use your information

We use personal information to provide virtual assistant and bookkeeping staffing services, respond to inquiries, schedule calls, send SMS and email communications you opted into, improve our services and customer experience, and comply with legal requirements.
